Therapy sessions fees range from $200 to $300. I offer a special discount for new clients: when you book a package of 5 sessions, you’ll receive 20% off the total cost of the package. You will receive a Good Faith Estimate for the anticipated cost of 6 moths of treatment.
Under the No Surprises Act, health care workers are required to provide clients who don’t have insurance or are not planning on using their insurance for reimbursement, an estimated cost of services to clients before treatment begins. It outlines expected fees per sessions for non-emergency services. For more information you may visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Therapy is an investment in your mental well-being, and it is natural to wonder about the costs involved. If you find my fees challenging, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I am committed to making therapy accessible and can offer guidance, referrals, and tips to help you find a therapist within your budget.
As a therapist in private practice, my fees are not just about the time spent in session and my expertise. They cover the essential costs of running a practice, such as office rent, supervision, administrative systems, and business insurance. Additionally, they support ongoing professional development to maintain licensure. My aim is to provide high-quality care while ensuring the sustainability of the practice.
For those living in New York, I offer both phone and video therapy sessions. For those planning on using out of network benefits, please contact your insurance to ensure that you can get reimbursement for telehealth sessions. Many insurance carriers will reimburse you for video sessions but not phone sessions.
In New York State, the guidelines for deducting mental health sessions on your taxes are similar to the federal guidelines. You may be able to deduct mental health sessions as a medical expense if they exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI) for the tax year. This deduction is part of your itemized deductions on your state tax return.
To claim this deduction, you’ll need to itemize your deductions using the appropriate forms and keep detailed records of your expenses, including receipts and documentation for your mental health sessions. You can receive an annual statement for your mental health expenses from me.
Absolutely! I strictly adhere to HIPPA regulations and New York State laws to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information and therapy records. I utilize secure, encrypted systems for communication and record-keeping to protect your data.
